It’s All In My Head
It’s All in My Head is a piece that is mainly about mental health, instability, and chaos. I wanted this piece to embody a space in my own mind that never stops racing and thinking. During the construction of this piece, I let my own body move at the same pace as my mind when adding things to the piece. I was very irrational and spontaneous when adding materials to the piece. I wanted this piece to embody the chaos and spontaneity that happens in my mind.

All Wrapped Up
All Wrapped Up reflects my sensory processing issues and how my brain works in response to an excess of sensory stimuli. While making this piece, I wanted the form to look more bodily as if it could represent an appendage or mass present on a human. I also wanted to factor in how emotions are tied to our senses with color through the application of synthetic dyes. The steel armature combined with the partial mummification with dyed rope-cord is meant to show the feeling of stress or constraint.
